Rural Driveway
Sources & Methodology
Our methodology favors checkable formulas, retrieval-friendly explanations and authoritative sources with explicit limits.
Source priorities
We prefer U.S. EPA nonpoint-source resources, FHWA Federal Lands maintenance resources, USDA NRCS state resources, state transportation departments, county road authorities, university extension and relevant manufacturer technical documents.
Calculator method
Gravel volume uses length × width × compacted depth, converted from cubic feet to cubic yards. Tonnage multiplies volume by an editable material density. Cost estimates use the calculated material quantity plus user-provided unit prices and allowances. Defaults are examples, not universal product data.
Regional claims
We do not create mass city pages. A regional guide must cite genuine differences in rainfall, frost, soil, material specifications, access rules or responsible authorities.
AI and search
Pages are structured for human reading and machine retrieval with direct answers, definitions, formulas and consistent terminology. Optional llms.txt is an index only and is not relied upon for Google rankings.
